Message From Mrs. Shelton:

Hello everyone! I am so excited to be your school counselor. This is my second year as the Temple Hill school counselor and 15th year in education. Temple Hill staff focuses on educating the whole child-which includes meeting their social, emotional, and mental health needs. I work with students on an individual, small group, and/or whole group basis. Teachers and I collaborate to create social-emotional learning opportunities in the classroom to enrich the educational environment.  I look forward to meeting you and serving you this year! Please don't hesitate to reach out to discuss any need your child or family may have!  Go Bulldogs!

Services & Duties

• Conducts the enrollment process of new students

• Counsels individually with children

• Teaches weekly guidance lessons in classrooms

• Conducts small group counseling sessions

• Processes referrals for the testing of special needs children

• Consults with parents in private conference about their child

• Consults with teachers

• Participates in curriculum development

• Provides information on community resources

• Responsible for maintaining student records including academic as well as medical records

Enrollment
If you would like information about enrolling a student, please feel free to contact me with any questions.  The following items will be needed for enrollment: official birth certificate, Social Security card, up to date immunization certificate, school physical, and eye exam.  If you have been enrolled in a public school prior to enrolling at TH, I will request school records from that school.
